Romeo Marcantuoni
Created an archive site for Romeo Marcantuoni, a researcher of Japanese politics, including his activities and written articles. The site is multilingual with English and Japanese.
Since the content of the site is mainly text rather than photos and illustrations, I wanted to incorporate a striking font, so I chose “Arvo” as the main font, which gives the impression of not being too pop or too classic, and “Source Sans” for the text. For the main visual, I used the motif of the Capitol building and added effects to create an abstract image. By changing the background of each page, I designed it so that it is easy to tell which page you are on among the pages of text.
